Bringing the payment functionalities on Northwestern Mutual's mobile app to parity with web.
The Context and Role
Over the past few years, Northwestern Mutual (NM) has invested significantly in upgrading its billing and payments self-service capabilities for web. However, the mobile app experience lacks many of these new functionalities, which is a big miss in our increasingly mobile-first world.
This project was broken into two chunks that touched adjacent parts of the payments ecosystem. The first piece was completed in 2023 and the other in 2024. I joined this effort after the first part was kicked off in 2023.
